Founder & Chairman
Ben Silverman announced a partnership with IAC, led by industry veteran Chairman & Senior Executive Barry Diller, in July 2009 to launch a new company, Electus, which will capitalize on the ever-evolving world of multimedia production and distribution. Prior to launching Electus, Silverman served as Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios from June 2007 to 2009.
As founder and former CEO of Reveille, Silverman is executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning NBC comedy “The Office” and the Golden Globe-winning comedy “Ugly Betty,” co-creator and executive producer of the hit NBC reality show “The Biggest Loser” as well as co-creator and executive producer of the critically acclaimed “The Tudors” for Showtime.
Chris Grant
Chief Executive Officer
Chris Grant joined Electus in November 2011 as the CEO, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s next phase of growth across global and domestic TV, digital and branded entertainment.
Prior to joining Electus, Grant served as President of Shine International, the global sales and distribution arm responsible for distributing programming from the Shine Group companies. There he transformed formats including "MasterChef," "The Biggest Loser," "The Moment of Truth" and "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" into truly global television brands.
Prior to founding Shine International, Grant served as a Managing Director of independent studio Reveille.
Drew Buckley
Chief Operating Officer and Head of Digital
Drew Buckley is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Digital of Electus where he is responsible for overseeing finance, acquisitions, and all transactions within Electus and their partner companies.
Prior to Electus, Drew served as Executive Vice President of Windsor Media, Terry Semel's, former Chairman and CEO of Yahoo!, investment firm. Windsor Media is a holding company of controlling assets in the Media, Entertainment and Luxury brand Industries.
John Pollak
President of Electus International
John Pollak is President of Electus International, the global sales and distribution arm of Electus, where he oversees the international strategy and execution for the growing slate of programming within Electus and its content labels. Pollak also leads distribution of Electus’ programming as well as programs and formats from other well-known 3rd party providers.
Prior to joining Electus, Pollak was Executive Vice President and Head of Worldwide Sales for Shine International. He was responsible for the global sales and distribution of programming from the Shine Group companies. Pollak drove sales for some of the world’s most successful non-scripted formats including "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?," "The Biggest Loser," "American Gladiators," "The Moment of Truth," "MasterChef" and Shine International’s first scripted network series – "The Listener," a successful co-production between NBC, Fox International Channels and CTV in Canada.
Laura Caraccioli
Executive Vice President of Advertising
Laura Caraccioli is the Executive Vice President of Advertising for Electus where she is responsible for changing the way content creators and advertisers interact to bring top-quality programming to consumers via the web, TV and film. Prior to joining Electus, Laura served as Executive Vice President of Starcom MediaVest Group, one of the largest brand communication companies in the world, driving innovation in content, programming and branded entertainment for blue chip clients such as Kellogg's, Disney Studios, Applebee's, Walgreens, Bank of America, Samsung and Blackberry to name a few.
Bruce Seidel
CEO of YouTube Food Channel
Bruce Seidel is the CEO of Electus’ YouTube Food Channel. He is responsible for running the channel, leading all creative, programming, scheduling, production, marketing and interfacing with advertising clients.
Prior to joining Electus, Bruce was Senior Vice President of Programming for Cooking Channel. Before joining the Cooking Channel, Seidel served as Senior Vice President of program planning and special productions at Food Network through early 2010. While at Food Network, Seidel developed and oversaw some of Food Network's top-rated programs, including "Iron Chef America," "The Next Food Network Star," "The Next Iron Chef," "Worst Cooks in America" and the record-setting "Iron Chef America: Super Chef Battle." Seidel also hosted the network’s blog, The FN Dish, reporting on new shows, sharing food news, attending food-related events and much more.
Jimmy Fox
Head of Creative Development
Jimmy Fox is the Head of Creative Development at Electus where he oversees the company's development slate of television projects including drama, comedy and unscripted. He is an Executive Producer of the hit series "Mob Wives" on Vh1 and is a Co-Executive Producer on the upcoming series "Car Lot Cowboy" for Spike TV, "Fashion Star" for NBC and "Marco Polo" for Starz.
Jimmy spent two years at NBC Universal as a coordinator working alongside then Co-Chairman Ben Silverman, before leaving to join Electus.
Prior to joining NBC, Jimmy worked at Creative Artists Agency in their television literary department.
Jimmy graduated cum laude from California Lutheran University
Mike Duffy
Managing Director of Branded Content
Mike Duffy is the Managing Director of Branded Content at Electus where he is responsible for creating, developing and producing brand-friendly content in digital, TV and film. He is an Executive Producer on NBC's holiday special, "A Michael Bublé Christmas."
Prior to joining Electus, Duffy served as EVP/head of development at Zodiak USA (formerly RDF USA), where he developed, created and sold shows on a slate that included Secret Millionaire, Hardcore Pawn, Don't Forget the Lyrics and One Big Happy Family.
A former standup comedian, he has worked in television for nearly 15 years, starting as an assistant under Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis, Walter Hill and David Giler at Tales from the Crypt productions and subsequently working on Kids Say the Darndest Things, Let¹s Make a Deal, National Lampoon¹s Funny Money, Whammy! The All New Press Your Luck and many others. A graduate of the Penn State School of Journalism, Duffy lives in Culver City with his wife and daughter.
Lori Gitomer
Executive Director of Media Sales
Lori Gitomer is the Executive Director of Media Sales for Electus where she is responsible for redefining and managing how brands and content creators collaborate to engage audiences. Prior to joining Electus, Lori served as an Account Executive at MTV Networks where she drove media sales, marketing solutions, and led efforts in the branded entertainment space for clients such as P&G, Walmart, Wrigley, Kraft, and Nike to name a few.
Lori graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business. She is based out of IAC in New York City.
Stacy Simpson
Chief Communications Officer
Stacy Simpson is the Chief Communications Officer for Electus where she is responsible for the communications, public relations and brand strategy for the next generation studio. Ms. Simpson has been with IAC since 2006 where, in addition to her role at Electus, she currently serves as Senior Vice President of Global Communications & Brand Marketing for IAC.
Prior to IAC, Ms. Simpson held numerous positions in media relations, communications and brand strategy, most recently at IBM. Ms. Simpson graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a bachelor’s degree in public policy.
